Crypto over Internet Protocol (KYoIP)
For over 20 years Orion Systems has worked with encryption devices (KY-28, KY-58, KY-99, & KY100) to provide secure voice transport through traditional Telco equipment. Orion Systems has built on this experience by providing the ability to send/receive secure voice over IP networks.
Orion Systems KYoIP product enables a point-to-point IP connection between two COMSEC devices such as a KY100 and a URC200 radio, or a KY-99 and a PRC-148 radio. The KYoIP device provides the solution for interconnecting KY-100 type COMSEC units over an IP based LAN/WAN network. A KYoIP device connects between the COMSEC equipment and the IP Network. The KYoIP unit generates a virtual bidirectional transmission channel plus a full duplex signaling channel for push-to-talk radio keying.
The KYoIP device has the following interface connections:
Data Input - 16Kbit data from an encryption device (KY-58, KY-99, KY100, URC200, PRC117, PRC148).
Data Output - 16Kbit data to an encryption device (KY-58, KY-99, KY100, URC200, PRC117, PRC148).
PTT Input - monitors the encryption device equipment for an active PTT which is transmitted through the IP network.
PTT Output - Provides a solid state relay contact closure for PTT output for radio keying.
